Senior Okta Identity Governance (OIG) Engineer
Are you an experienced Okta professional ready to take ownership of a large-scale identity governance transformation? Our client is looking for a Senior Okta Identity Governance (OIG) Engineer to help lead the migration of their identity and access management processes onto Okta Identity Governance. In this role, you’ll design and build custom workflows and connectors, configure core OIG components, and play a hands-on role in modernizing how the organization manages access across a complex environment. - Location: Remote US (must work EST hours)
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65-75/hr W2

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the migration of Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes and applications from a legacy identity management platform to Okta Identity Governance.
- Configure and deploy Okta Lifecycle Management, Access Certification, and other core OIG components to match the target-state design.
- Build custom Okta Workflows, including automations, inline hooks, event hooks, and delegated flows.
- Develop custom OIG connectors and integrate applications using JDBC, REST web services, and Active Directory.
- Configure group rules, bundles, schema, and certification processes to support ongoing access governance.
What Gets You the Job:
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including 4+ years in IT security and 3+ years working with IAM solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud, including Lifecycle Management, Access Governance, Workflows, and native API integrations.
- Okta Certified Administrator and Okta Certified Developer certifications required.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java, with experience in RESTful web services and JDBC integration.
- Solid understanding of IAM concepts, including user provisioning, SAML/OAuth authentication protocols, and directory services.
