Sr. Penetration Tester
Our client is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join a collaborative Security Testing & Assurance team focused on identifying and validating security weaknesses across modern applications, APIs, networks, and infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to perform hands-on security testing, partner directly with technical teams, and improve testing capabilities through automation and continuous improvement.

- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about 72-78/HR W2

What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on penetration testing across web applications, APIs, networks, infrastructure, and segmented environments.
- Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities, then conduct remediation testing to confirm issues have been effectively resolved.
- Develop clear, actionable findings and communicate security risks and remediation recommendations to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Build scripts, automation, and tooling to improve penetration testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
- Support threat modeling, security design reviews, compliance-driven testing, and broader security testing program initiatives.
What Gets You the Job:
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on penetration testing experience, particularly with modern web applications, using Burp Suite Professional and Kali Linux.
- Experience testing APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and/or SOAP, with a strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and application security principles.
- Experience with network and infrastructure penetration testing, vulnerability validation, and remediation retesting.
- Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash for developing automation, scripts, or security testing tools.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with developers, engineers, and business stakeholders; relevant security certifications, cloud security testing, or DevSecOps experience are a plus.
