Business Analyst-Payroll Solutions

Our client, a leading mechanical construction organization, is seeking a Business Analyst – Payroll Solutions to join their Corporate IT Business Operations Technology team. This role partners with Payroll, HR, and IT teams to improve payroll processes, support system enhancements, and deliver technology solutions that drive accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payroll systems experience and a strong understanding of payroll workflows, business analysis, process improvement, and change management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Payroll, HR, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, document business processes, and identify opportunities for payroll system and process improvements.
  • Support payroll technology enhancements, change management activities, and governance processes including change request intake, impact assessments, documentation, and release coordination.
  • Create process maps, workflow documentation, business requirements, and functional specifications supporting payroll operations and system initiatives.
  • Coordinate testing activities including functional testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure payroll requirements are successfully delivered.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between Payroll, IT, and external vendors to resolve issues, support projects, and drive successful payroll technology solutions.

What Gets You the Job: 

  • 2+ years of experience supporting payroll systems, payroll operations, or payroll-focused business analysis initiatives.
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as Workday, UKG, Dayforce, SuccessFactors, or similar enterprise payroll solutions; Workday experience preferred.
  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, testing, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience supporting payroll process improvements, change management initiatives, system enhancements, or technology implementations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across Payroll, HR, IT, and vendor teams.
