Senior Financial Analyst, IT Finance

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide immediate financial support to a growing IT organization. This is a short-term contract opportunity supporting an organization that is building out its IT Finance function, with an immediate focus on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and technology vendor management.

The ideal candidate has strong FP&A fundamentals combined with direct experience supporting an IT organization from a finance perspective. This individual should be comfortable stepping into an active budget cycle, working independently, and making an impact with minimal ramp-up time.

• Job Type: 6-8 week contract, with chance of extension and/or conversion
• Location: Brentwood, TN
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $50-60/hr
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• S upport the development and management of IT budgets and forecasts, including analysis of technology spending and preparation of financial schedules.
• Perform budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable financial insights to IT and Finance leadership.
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, management schedules, and financial models supporting technology operations and decision-making.
• Partner with IT stakeholders and technology vendors to address financial issues, improve forecasting, and strengthen vendor relationships.
• Help establish and improve processes, reporting, and financial visibility as the organization builds out its new IT Finance function.

What Gets You the Job: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with 3+ years of progressive Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or business analysis experience.
• Direct experience providing financial planning and analysis support to an IT or Technology organization , including budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated experience with variance analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, management schedules, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, large data sets, and financial models; experience with ERP/EPM or financial planning systems.
• Ability to quickly understand an organization’s financial environment, work independently with minimal ramp-up, and communicate effectively with Finance, IT, leadership, and external vendors.
