IAM Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to design, implement, and enhance enterprise identity and access management solutions. This role will provide technical leadership across IAM platforms with a strong focus on Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and AI identity management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can own complex initiatives, establish technical standards, and mentor other engineers while improving the security, scalability, and reliability of identity platforms.

• Location: remote
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $75-85/hr

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and enhance complex enterprise identity and security solutions with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and modern identity management.
• Lead IAM engineering initiatives, contribute to platform roadmaps, and help define long-term architecture and operational strategies.
• Establish and enforce technical standards, security best practices, and scalable engineering patterns across identity platforms.
• Drive improvements in platform performance, security, scalability, reliability, and automation while providing technical guidance on complex engineering decisions.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor, partnering across Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Engineering teams while helping develop junior engineers.

What Gets You the Job: 

• 6+ years of relevant IAM, security engineering, platform engineering, or related technical experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory is required , including designing and supporting secure enterprise identity environments.
• Hands-on AI identity management experience is required , including securing, governing, or managing identities and access associated with AI platforms, agents, workloads, or services.
• Strong experience designing secure and scalable environments, leading complex engineering initiatives, and influencing enterprise architecture and technical standards.
• Proven technical leadership, problem-solving, mentoring, and platform ownership capabilities; advanced cloud, security engineering, IAM, or automation certifications are preferred.
