Systems Engineer II
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join their infrastructure engineering team. This role is ideal for an experienced systems engineer who thrives in large enterprise environments and enjoys building scalable, automated infrastructure solutions. You’ll partner closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to modernize systems, improve operational efficiency, and support highly available enterprise platforms.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure including virtualization platforms, Kubernetes clusters, Linux and Windows environments, storage solutions, and infrastructure automation.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with development, system administration, and InfoSec teams to support system integrations, large-scale software deployments, vulnerability remediation, and enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, engineering standards, and architecture diagrams while providing guidance and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, support on-call operations as needed, and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
What Gets You the Job:
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience supporting large-scale enterprise or service provider environments with expertise in virtualization, Linux, Windows, networking, and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD tools, Nginx, Apache, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Node.js, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud and virtualization technologies, networking fundamentals, security best practices, Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle concepts.
- Experience working across cross-functional engineering, development, operations, and security teams while effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience) with strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and automation skills.
