Data Product Owner (On-site)

The Product Owner represents the interests of the stakeholders to the Scrum team. The Product Owner is responsible for clear communication of product or service functionality requirements to the Scrum Team, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring the criteria is met. The Product Owner will need to balance new features and product support to ensure the Scrum Team delivers value and quality. The Product Owner will own all internal business products related to business intelligence and own the financial process to fund and account for, all funds for the products through inception to retirement.

• Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-time
• Location: Las Vegas, NV (On-site)
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $100,000 – $130,000 per year
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for having a vision of what key stakeholders wish to build and convey that vision to the Scrum Team.
• Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap by holding stakeholder meetings on a regular basis.
• Analyze preferences and requests of end users.
• Responsible for securing funding for features, programs and projects and reporting on the financials back to stakeholders.
• Must be able to maintain, groom and prioritize a backlog.
• Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria based on the stakeholder requests.
• Ability to set sprint goals at the beginning of a sprint.
• Ability to lead and plan product releases and upgrades.
• Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints.
• Must keep track of industry trends and maximize investments.
• Provides support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.

What Gets You the Job: 

• Must have experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management focusing on the data product space.
• Must be able to write SQL queries and execute SQL joins.
• Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
• Technical background with knowledge of software development, web technologies and operational processes.
• Good communication abilities and organizations skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and be a translator between business users, stakeholders and technical teams.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks and the ability to apply those frameworks.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, continual improvement, and empowerment.
• Product Owner Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus
• Prior experience working in the gaming, casino, resort, or customer loyalty industry is highly preferred.
