Principal Entra ID Architect (SME)
Our client is seeking a Principal Entra ID Architect to lead the design, engineering, and optimization of enterprise identity and authentication environments. This role will drive identity architecture strategy, strengthen security controls, and support complex migrations across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and a strong understanding of security standards, scalable architecture, and data protection.

What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and secure Microsoft Entra ID tenants, including segmented environments that meet PCI DSS and data security requirements.
- Design, implement, and optimize Conditional Access policies, authentication controls, and group security strategies to strengthen enterprise security.
- Lead application integrations and migrations between Entra tenants, including transitions from on-premises Active Directory to hybrid and cloud environments.
- Establish identity architecture standards, security policies, and best practices aligned with Zero Trust principles and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the technical authority for Entra ID architecture, partnering with security and infrastructure teams to resolve complex challenges and guide engineering initiatives.
What Gets You the Job:
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience, including 5+ years architecting and engineering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environments at enterprise scale.
- Deep expertise in Entra ID tenant architecture, Conditional Access policies, authentication flows, group security policies, and privileged access management.
- Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications, performing tenant-to-tenant migrations, and transitioning Active Directory environments to Entra ID within hybrid infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Kerberos), PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Entra Connect/Cloud Sync.
- Experience implementing identity security best practices, including Zero Trust, PCI DSS compliance, and enterprise security frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
