Program Manager – Payroll Technology & Business Operations

Our client is seeking a Program Manager to drive payroll process excellence through technology innovation and continuous improvement. This is a strategic leadership role within the Corporate IT – Business Operations Technology team, responsible for establishing nationwide standards, developing and executing program roadmaps, and ensuring seamless integration across cross-functional teams. The Program Manager will oversee a portfolio of interrelated initiatives, manage dependencies, and optimize resources to maximize business value and operational efficiency.

  • Job Type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Local Remote (open to remote with up to 25% travel)
  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $140,000-$150,000/year plus bonus
  • No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of programs and projects aligned to payroll and business operations technology, from concept through delivery
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, annual plans, and strategic priorities while driving enterprise-level solution implementation
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cross-project risks and dependencies before they impact program outcomes
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, communication, and alignment across all levels of the organization, and champion organizational change management
  • Lead and manage contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams while collaborating with vendors and third-party partners

What Gets You the Job:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in program management, business analysis, or engineering roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS/payroll systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop enterprise-level process architectures and frameworks, with experience in Lean methodologies and process mapping
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and stakeholders; construction industry experience preferred
