Senior Data Engineer

Irvine Technology Corporation (ITC) is partnering with a global consulting organization to identify a Senior Data Engineer to join their clients Data platform team. This role will focus on designing and delivering enterprise-grade integration platforms and API services that enable secure, scalable communication between systems across cloud and datacenter environments. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who thrives in complex environments and enjoys building high-performance distributed systems that support large-scale data integration initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale API services and interoperability platforms that integrate legacy, modern, and vendor systems across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Build scalable integration infrastructure using microservices architecture and domain-driven design principles.
• Develop high-performance distributed systems focused on reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to streamline deployment and system operations.

• Provide full lifecycle ownership of services including design, development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

What Gets You the Job: 

• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems using languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Strong experience designing and developing APIs using REST, GraphQL, or gRPC, with frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, EKS, networking, and security.
• Deep experience with containerization and DevOps technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Git workflows, ArgoCD, jFrog, and Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring using tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and familiarity with AI-driven automation or AI agents.
