Our client is seeking a seasoned MuleSoft Runtime Fabric Architect to step into a highly visible contract role that will stabilize and modernize a critical integration platform. With limited documentation and architectural clarity following a recent departure, this position plays a pivotal role in rebuilding structure, ensuring platform stability, and laying the groundwork for scalable integration growth. You will partner closely with engineering and enterprise architecture teams to drive immediate impact while shaping the long-term direction of the integration ecosystem.

- Location: Remote in continental US
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $80/hour W2 (plus benefits)

What You’ll Do:
- Assess and document the current state of the MuleSoft Runtime Fabric environment, identifying gaps and risks
- Develop comprehensive architectural documentation covering network, security, infrastructure policies, and standards
- Re-architect and optimize aspects of the Runtime Fabric platform to improve scalability, reliability, and governance
- Collaborate with senior engineering and enterprise architecture teams to enable integration map delivery and modernization initiatives
- Support platform enhancements including observability improvements and Azure-based logging and monitoring integrations
What Gets You the Job:
- Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric in complex enterprise environments
- Experience deploying and managing Runtime Fabric on Kubernetes clusters
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud architecture principles
- Proven ability to create clear, detailed architectural documentation and articulate design decisions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and business stakeholders
