Senior Data Engineer (On-site)
We are seeking a full-time Data Engineer to architect and implement a modern data platform infrastructure supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation. This foundational role will establish the data backbone connecting operational systems (ViewPoint, Autodesk APS) with analytics capabilities (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake), enabling data-driven decision-making.
Location: Fountain Valley, CA (On-site)
This job expects to pay about $160,000 – $180,000 per year plus benefits

What You Will Do:
- Design and build a robust data architecture to support the company’s analytical and operational goals.
- Responsible for translating business requirements from construction operations, estimating, project management and executive teams into a cohesive data architecture that serves both immediate reporting needs and long-term analytics capabilities.
- Use Python for programming, data processing and orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, etc.)
- Build and maintain well-structured pipelines from ingestion to consumption.
- Data cleaning, quality control, accessibility, and query optimization.
What You Bring to The Table:
- 5+ years of related experience including knowledge/experience with architectural concepts.
- Strong SQL skills for data warehouse/lake environments.
- Strong abilities in Python and related data engineering packages.
- Experience with data processing pipeline and orchestration using Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect or similar.
- Experience with data lakes, data warehouses and orchestration tools.
- Ability to work as an end-to-end Data Engineer taking projects from inception to completion- covering design, orchestration, and delivery.
- Proven ability to design dimensional models, star schemas, and normalized structures.
- Strong understanding of different data formats (CSV, JSON, Parquet, etc.) and storage technologies (blob storage, traditional databases, Delta Lake, etc.) and their tradeoffs
- Power BI or reporting exposure is a plus.
- Experience with MS Fabric, Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
- Experience with Azure and Infrastructure as Code tools for Azure is a plus.
- Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) API, webhooks and data extraction methodologies is a plus.
