Clinical Imaging Program Manager

We are seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee multiple clinical imaging technology initiatives in a healthcare setting for a contract to hire OR direct hire role. This remote role includes managing 3–6 project managers while also directly handling key imaging-related projects. Strong knowledge of imaging workflows, PACS systems, and EMRs like Cerner and Meditech is required.

  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $70-80/hr / $145,000-165,000 plus benefits

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage enterprise technology programs with a primary focus on Imaging systems.
  • Partner with leadership to align on strategic goals and define measures of success.
  • Oversee vendor management, cross-functional resource allocation, risk mitigation, and change management.
  • Ensure timely and on-budget delivery of all program milestones and project deliverables.
  • Maintain structured yet agile project execution to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Track program metrics, KPIs, and business cases to report on outcomes and value realization.
  • Enforce hospital PMO methodologies, standards, and documentation requirements.

What Gets You the Job: 

  • 3–5 years of experience leading large-scale, strategic healthcare IT programs.
  • Proven background managing Imaging platforms (PACS, CPACS, RIS).
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Cerner and Meditech.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and program budget management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, healthcare, computer science, or related experience.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Visio or similar process mapping tools
    • ServiceNow or comparable project management platforms
    • Apptio or equivalent financial management tools
    • Skills in:
      • Leadership and stakeholder communication
      • Cross-functional team collaboration
      • Resource planning and performance tracking
      • Change management and post-go-live support planning
      • Willingness to travel up to 25%; MVR check required for final candidates.
