Our client is seeking a Manual QA Software Tester who can thrive in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment and work closely with both technical and business stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to lead through change, support end-to-end testing efforts, and contribute directly to upcoming strategic projects in the insurance space.
- Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in Kansas City, Mo
- Compensation: The contract role is expected to pay about $40-45/hour, and the full-time role is expected to pay up to about $85k base.

What You’ll Do:
- Design and execute front-end, back-end, and light API test cases in a manual QA environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review business and technical requirements and translate them into test plans
- Support user acceptance testing and document defects with clarity and precision
- Participate in transformation initiatives and help drive process improvements
- Act as a liaison across IT and business units, supporting hybrid Agile/Waterfall projects
What Gets You the Job:
- Manual QA testing experience across UI, backend, and limited APIs
- Prior experience in life insurance and/or annuity domains (required for Direct Hire, preferred for Contract)
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile methodologies; familiarity with Waterfall a plus
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Excel, and other test management platforms
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with an ability to lead through change
