Risk Operations Analyst- Hybrid/Remote

Our client is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst to join their Fraud and Risk Onboarding team on a contract basis. In this fast-paced role, you will help protect the organization by identifying and investigating potential fraudulent activity during customer onboarding. This is a hybrid position for candidates local to Draper, UT or San Jose, CA, with remote options available for the right individual. Location: Hybrid position for candidates local to Draper, UT or San Jose, CA,
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $23-$24/hour

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct KYC due diligence and fraud reviews when evaluating new customer accounts
• Review identity documents and customer-provided data using verification tools and reliable sources
• Detect red flags and make informed decisions on fraudulent activity with minimal supervision
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify documentation or gather missing information
• Identify risk trends and escalate relevant findings to help strengthen fraud detection strategies

What Gets You the Job: 

• 1–3 years of fraud or risk investigation experience in ecommerce, payments, or financial services
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills, especially in sensitive customer-facing situations
• Proven adaptability to new processes and standard operating procedures
