Senior Accountant – General Ledger

Our client is adding two Senior Accountants to its General Ledger team. This role handles core accounting work from month-end close through balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases. You’ll join a finance team that covers general ledger, technical accounting, and financial reporting, and you’ll be expected to work independently from day one with minimal training.

• Job Type: Contract, 6+ months, with possible contract-to-hire
• Location: Remote (Pacific or Central time zone preferred) or Hybrid in Irvine, CA
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $50-59/HR W2
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• Complete month-end close tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaids
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, transfers, disposals, and depreciation
• Account for leases and maintain supporting schedules
• Support general accounting needs and provide documentation to external auditors

What Gets You the Job:

• 3-5+ years of general ledger, audit, or fixed asset accounting experience, with the ability to work independently
• Hands-on ERP experience; Workday Financials preferred
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience, strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
