Chief of Staff to the CIO

Our client is seeking a highly organized, resilient Chief of Staff to the CIO to provide coverage during a medical leave, with the potential to extend or convert. This role partners directly with the CIO to drive execution, coordination, and communication across technology domains during a critical period of 2026 strategy planning. The ideal candidate brings strong stakeholder management skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment.

Location: Boston, MA or New York, NY – (Hybrid onsite schedule, three days per week)

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $70 – $80/HR W2

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner directly with the CIO to support execution of strategic initiatives and day-to-day priorities

     

  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations, briefings, and updates for senior leadership

     

  • Coordinate information sharing across domain leaders and their teams to ensure alignment and transparency

     

  • Track action items, decisions, dependencies, and follow-ups to maintain operational discipline

     

  • Support enterprise-wide 2026 strategy planning efforts and ongoing stakeholder communications

     

What Gets You the Job:

  • Proven experience working with senior executives in a Chief of Staff, program management, or similar role

     

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously

     

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation development

     

  • Ability to operate with professionalism, discretion, and thick skin in a high-visibility environment

     

  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder relationships across technical and business teams
