Lead Analytics Data Analyst
We are seeking a (Senior Analytics Solutions Engineer) to join our high-performing analytics team to serve as a critical bridge between our clinical stakeholders, analysts, and engineers—developing advanced analytics solutions that impact patient care and operational excellence.
This is a highly collaborative and strategic role. You will design and build scalable analytics solutions using Databricks and Tableau, support best practices in analytics engineering and data storytelling, and foster deep partnerships with clinical and operational leaders. Your work will contribute to a culture of data stewardship, innovation, and self-service.
What you will do:
- Design and engineer analytics solutions using Databricks, SQL, and Tableau that support decision-making across clinical and operational domains.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders—especially clinicians—translating their needs into scalable analytics solutions and guiding them in self-service capabilities.
- Partner with data engineers to define reusable data models that align with governance and performance standards.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of analytics best practices, including coding standards, peer reviews, data validation routines, and product certification.
- Lead or mentor other analysts by coaching them on tooling, quality standards, and modern analytics workflows.
- Actively participate in stakeholder discovery sessions, surfacing opportunities to turn data into actionable insight.
- Ensure solution documentation is accurate, maintained, and governed through our data catalog and tools such as Alation.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to evangelize data quality, integrity, and usability.
What gets you the job:
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or business intelligence roles.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Expert in SQL, Databricks, and Tableau.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with business users or clinicians to define requirements and deliver impactful analytics.
- Ability to work PST hours and independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, warehousing concepts, and modern data architecture.
Preferred:
- Experience in the healthcare industry and/or with clinical data.
- Proficiency in R or Python for data modeling or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and Agile tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
