Business Analyst – Data Science & Analytics
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support data science, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements and supporting the delivery of reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate has strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, with experience supporting data-driven projects in a collaborative environment.
Location: Brentwood, TN 37027 – Hybrid (3–4 days onsite)
Compensation: $60–$70/hr W2
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with business stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, discovery sessions, and workshops to identify business needs, define KPIs, and support analytics initiatives.
- Support the development, validation, and delivery of Power BI dashboards, reports, and other analytics solutions, including coordinating UAT and documenting results.
- Maintain project documentation, business processes, requirements, risks, and action items while identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Support change management, user training, and adoption of reporting and analytics solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
What Gets You the Job:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related analytics or project support role.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements, developing user stories, and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders, with excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics initiatives; familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar analytics platforms is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; knowledge of Agile methodologies and UAT processes is a plus.
