Systems Engineer III
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support and enhance a large-scale Linux/Unix server environment. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving system reliability, and identifying opportunities to automate and optimize production environments.

What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and optimize OpenStack environments and supporting infrastructure across large-scale production systems.
- Manage Ceph storage environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance, capacity, and overall platform reliability.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions to automate provisioning, deployment, and system administration.
- Support physical data center and bare-metal infrastructure, including Linux/Unix servers, networking, upgrades, disaster recovery, and production changes.
- Proactively monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, improve system reliability and security, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
What Gets You the Job:
Qualifications
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience supporting large-scale Linux/Unix environments, with strong Red Hat and CentOS expertise.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing OpenStack environments and Ceph storage platforms.
- Strong experience with configuration management, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and infrastructure automation in production environments.
- Experience managing physical data center and bare-metal server infrastructure, including networking, upgrades, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Experience supporting distributed server architectures and production environments; Triad experience and certifications such as RHCA, CCNA, or JNCIA are preferred.
