Senior Healthcare Business Systems Analyst – Data Projects
Job Introduction
We have an immediate need for a Senior Healthcare Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise data, reporting, and emerging AI/ML initiatives for a leading healthcare provider.
This is a highly senior, business-facing role. You will serve as a liaison between the innovation/data team and business leaders across the organization, including clinical, finance, philanthropy, and other departments. A key part of the role is translating business needs into data projects and developing Power BI dashboards that clearly communicate insights and support decision-making.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with business stakeholders and getting hands-on with data and Power BI.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Remote – Candidates must reside in California
Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 per year plus benefits

What you’ll do
- Serve as a senior liaison between the innovation/data team and business units across a healthcare provider.
- Partner directly with business leaders to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into actionable data projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, finance, philanthropy, and other departments to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and solution definition for enterprise data initiatives.
- Present data, findings, and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders.
- Help identify opportunities where data, analytics, AI, and ML can improve business processes and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams, data professionals, and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Support innovation initiatives involving data science, AI/ML, and emerging technologies.
What gets you the job
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on data projects.
- Strong experience working within a healthcare organization; provider/hospital experience is strongly preferred. Payer or Public Health experience will also be considered.
- Advanced, hands-on Power BI dashboard development experience is required and is a key component of the role.
- Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into data, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Strong business-facing skills with the ability to collaborate directly with business leaders and departments to identify, define, and execute data projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex data and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with enterprise data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives.
- Experience supporting AI/ML, data science, or innovation initiatives is a plus.
- Must be comfortable operating in a highly collaborative, strategic, and business-facing environment.
