Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
Our client is redefining how AI shows up inside the enterprise, and they’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help lead that charge. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success, turning ambitious AI use cases into working solutions for real enterprise customers. You’ll guide technical evaluations before the sale, then roll up your sleeves to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot in production, all while partnering closely with sales, engineering, and product teams. - Job Type: Contract to Hire
- Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $80 – $90/hr

What You’ll Do:
- Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers to understand their business processes, systems, and data.
- Build production-quality proof-of-value solutions that help win technical evaluations.
- Deploy customer-specific AI solutions into production, configuring AI agents and workflow automations.
- Troubleshoot production issues across customer environments and drive resolution against SLAs.
- Partner daily with account executives, customer success, and engineering teams throughout the customer journey.
What Gets You the Job:
- 5-10+ years of experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python, SQL, REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks for building enterprise integrations.
- Working knowledge of GenAI tools and frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, and AWS Bedrock, along with experience building autonomous agents and working with MCP servers.
- Proven ability to lead customer workshops, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations from discovery through production deployment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into working solutions for both technical and executive audiences.
