Accounts Payable Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a contract basis. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping the full invoice cycle running smoothly, from initial receipt through final payment, while partnering closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and accurately. - Job Type: Contract (4+ months)
- Location: Remote (EST)
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $37 – 40/hr
- No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the full invoice cycle, from receipt through payment
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders on invoice and payment status
- Research and resolve issues related to invoices, purchase orders, payments, credits, and vendor information
- Review employee expense reimbursement requests for policy compliance and approve for posting to the general ledger
- Support month-end close, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations
What Gets You the Job:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience with strong AP proficiency
- Solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting transactions
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Highly detail- and process-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
