Senior Analytics Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and delivering enterprise-level reporting solutions. In this high-impact position, you’ll architect scalable BI solutions, drive semantic layer design, and support a critical data migration effort – all while mentoring a talented analytics team. - Job Type: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension and conversion to full-time)
- Location: 100% Remote during contract (Eastern or Central time zone required)
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $60 – $70/hr
- No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop end-to-end BI solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, SSAS/AAS, and Microsoft Fabric
- Build and maintain scalable semantic layers, data models, and KPIs to support enterprise-level reporting and analytics
- Lead and contribute to a critical data migration to a modern Snowflake environment, driving technical decisions and best practices
- Collaborate with data engineers and QA analysts to deliver high-quality, robust analytics solutions
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical resource and escalation point for BI-related challenges
What Gets You the Job:
- 5-7 years of experience designing and developing BI solutions with extensive hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, SSAS/AAS, Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling and delivering analytics via Power BI
- Strong expertise in semantic layer design, scalable data modeling, and Azure-based BI solutions
- Demonstrated experience mentoring a technical team and proactively offering technical guidance and suggestions
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL development, and Git for version control; experience with Databricks required
