Director of Accounting
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to provide senior-level leadership and hands-on support within a complex finance environment. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with finance leadership, strengthen accounting operations, and ensure accurate financial reporting during a period of organizational transformation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with practical corporate accounting experience and can operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Hybrid – Los Angeles, CA (Open to 100% Remote)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $75-95/hr W2

What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and oversight across general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies across multiple entities
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Partner with finance, FP&A, audit, and operational stakeholders to support key accounting initiatives
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies
What Gets You the Job:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting environments
- Experience operating at the Senior Manager or Director level within large, publicly traded organizations
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with large ERP systems such as SAP (BW is a plus), Oracle, or NetSuite
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s degree or CPA strongly preferred)
