POS Engineer (Hybrid)
Irvine Technology Corporation (ITC) is partnering with a growing multi-location food & beverage organization to identify a hands-on Point of Sale (POS) Engineer. This role owns the strategy, modernization, and day-to-day reliability of the company’s POS platforms and all integrated systems supporting restaurant operations. The ideal candidate brings deep POS and KDS experience, thrives in fast-paced operational environments, and is willing to step in during critical business moments.

- Compensation: $130,000-$160,000

What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end replacement of legacy POS systems, defining standards, configurations, and governance across all locations.
- Own and manage the full POS ecosystem, including online ordering, pickup, catering, payments, gift cards, loyalty, and third-party delivery integrations.
- Direct the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) to improve kitchen efficiency, order accuracy, and speed of service.
- Serve as the primary liaison between operations, IT, finance, vendors, and implementation partners, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Support new store openings, system rollouts, upgrades, and critical incident response, including on-call support as business needs require.
What Gets You the Job
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in POS systems management within multi-unit restaurant or retail environments.
- Proven experience implementing POS platforms, KDS solutions, and complex integrations in fast-paced, operationally critical settings.
- Strong working knowledge of POS technologies (e.g., Micros), online ordering platforms, payment systems, and vendor-managed support models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage vendors and SLAs, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
