Data Engineer Lead
Our client is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer Lead to play a critical role in designing, building, and modernizing cloud-based data platforms. This role blends deep technical delivery with technical leadership, owning end-to-end data pipeline development while guiding junior and offshore engineers to successful execution. The ideal candidate thrives in complex data environments, enjoys mentoring others, and brings strong experience driving cloud data initiatives forward.

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $70–85/hr

What You’ll Do:

Lead the design, development, and optimization of cloud-based ELT/ETL pipelines supporting enterprise analytics and reporting

Drive migration efforts from on-prem SQL Server to Snowflake on Azure using modern data engineering best practices

Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and Coalesce

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and offshore engineers across distributed teams

Partner with architects, stakeholders, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions
What Gets You the Job:

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including migrations and cloud-native data architecture

Azure data engineering expertise, including Azure Data Factory and cloud-based pipeline development

Proven experience building ELT/ETL pipelines and data models in modern data platforms

Experience leading or guiding junior and offshore engineering teams in Agile environments

Coalesce experience or ETL-related certifications strongly preferred
