Power BI Technologist
We are seeking a Power BI Technologist to support the development, optimization, and ongoing management of high-impact Power BI reports and dashboards. This role will focus on complex semantic data models, performance tuning, and integrating multiple Microsoft data sources to enable accurate, responsive, and scalable reporting for business stakeholders.
Location: Remote
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65-75/hr

Duration: 6-month contract
What You’ll Do:
– Manage and maintain complex Power BI semantic models sourcing data from SharePoint, Excel, and Azure Dataverse.
– Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure performance, accuracy, and usability.
– Improve calculation speed and report responsiveness using DAX optimization, data modeling best practices, and query tuning.
– Integrate new data sources into existing Power BI models while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
– Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable, well-documented Power BI solutions.
What Gets You the Job:
– Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and Azure Dataverse supporting complex data models.
– Proven ability to optimize report performance, improve calculation efficiency, and troubleshoot refresh or visualization issues.
– Experience working with SharePoint lists, Excel data sources, and Power Query.
– Familiarity with Power BI governance, security, and compliance considerations.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
