Job Title: Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (must be based in one of the following states: AR, CA, FL, GA, LA, MN, MO, NV, NC, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Redshift and Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role is focused on building and operating secure, scalable, and compliant data platforms — with an emphasis on automation, performance optimization, and database reliability in enterprise environments. You’ll own the design and operations of data warehouses and databases, while partnering closely with development and product teams.
Key Responsibilities

Architect, manage, and optimize large-scale Amazon Redshift data warehouses.

Implement and manage databases as code using Terraform and IaC best practices.

Support and optimize PostgreSQL platforms (Aurora, RDS, EnterpriseDB).

Automate database operations using Python and Shell scripting.

Ensure operational excellence across HA/DR, backup/restore, security, and compliance.

Drive SQL performance tuning for high-volume data environments.

Implement robust monitoring, observability, and alerting at scale.

Integrate database infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, VSCode).

Collaborate with product and dev teams to align infrastructure with business needs.

Explore next-gen technologies like vector databases, graph DBs, and Apache Iceberg.
Qualifications

Proven hands-on expertise with Amazon Redshift (required).

Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code for database provisioning and management (required).

Advanced PostgreSQL skills (Aurora, RDS, EnterpriseDB).

Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.

Strong background in governance and compliance-heavy environments.

Expertise in database operations: HA, DR, backup/recovery, monitoring, observability.

Experience with CI/CD workflows for database changes.

Bonus: exposure to vector databases, graph DBs, or Apache Iceberg.
