Data Platform Architect – Merchandising Solutions – On site
Our client is seeking an accomplished Data Platform Architect to join their global Data Engineering and BI team. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering scalable, modern data platforms on Azure that power critical merchandising initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to shape solutions that drive innovation across unified pricing, product lifecycle management, and store work & design strategies, all while collaborating with forward-thinking business and technical teams.
Location: Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC (onsite required)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65-$70 per hour

What You’ll Do:

Architect, build, and optimize data platforms on Azure to enable modern merchandising solutions.

Partner with business and merchandising teams to deliver Unified Pricing, Life Cycle Management, and Work & Design solutions.

Champion the adoption of Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI within enterprise platforms.

Define governance models, best practices, and architecture standards across Data Engineering and BI teams.

Lead platform automation efforts using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
What Gets You the Job:
-
7+ years of experience designing and architecting Data & Analytics solutions with a focus on Azure.

Proven track record supporting retail or merchandising systems (pricing, lifecycle, or assortment management).

Strong technical skills in Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, ADF, and Power BI.

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and T-SQL, with hands-on optimization for high-volume data.

Microsoft Azure Certification, with strong collaboration and leadership skills.
