Join our client’s high-impact Digital Modernization Program supporting the actuarial modernization of a flagship insurance analytics platform. As a Data Engineer, you will build robust cloud-based data pipelines and collaborate directly with actuaries to empower advanced analytics, reporting, and pricing capabilities in a global insurance environment.

Princeton, NJ (Hybrid – onsite 3 days/week)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $75-80/hr

What You’ll Do:
• Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based data pipelines supporting actuarial analytics, pricing tools, and downstream reporting
• Collaborate with actuarial stakeholders to translate complex insurance data requirements into scalable ETL solutions
• Develop bronze, silver, and gold data layers using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and PySpark
• Coordinate across three scrum teams to ensure data solutions align with modernization goals and architectural standards
• Participate in working sessions to map documentation, identify gaps, and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline
What Gets You the Job:
• 5–10 years of data engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree
• Deep understanding of property insurance and reinsurance terminology with demonstrated ability to work effectively alongside actuaries
• Proficiency with Azure BI stack including Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Data Lake Store/Analytics, SQL, and PySpark
• Experience building data pipelines and data warehouse solutions, including staging, bronze, silver, and gold layers
• Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills with experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
