Manager, Telecommunications
We have an immediate need for a Manager, Telecommunications to join our client for a full-time, direct hire position that will be hybrid in Irvine, CA. This position will be responsible for the reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of telecommunication systems, focusing on inventory, billing, and reporting/analytics.
Location: Irvine, CA (1 day remote, 4 days onsite)
This job expects to pay about $124,400-164,700 plus bonus and benefits

What You’ll Do:
- Maintains a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all telecommunications circuits, equipment, and services, including documentation of usage and critical dependencies.
- Conducts regular audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Serves as the primary liaison with the TEM vendor and manages vendor relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
- Analyzes telecom expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities, enforce contracted rates, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Coordinates with site personnel to schedule and validate annual testing of critical communication systems (e.g., elevators, blue phones, emergency systems).
- Develops and maintains standardized testing procedures and documentation.
- Leads telecom contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develops and monitors KPIs to evaluate telecom performance, usage, and cost; presents insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Utilizes data analytics to detect trends and anomalies in telecom usage and expenses.
- Manages telecom projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversees circuit orders and works with providers to ensure timely completion and issue resolution.
What Gets You the Job:
- Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunications, information technology, finance or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in telecommunications management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies, including voice, data, and internet services.
- Extensive experience with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) systems and processes.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
- Strong financial analysis and accounting background is a must.
