Our client in the Anaheim area is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join their organization on a direct hire basis. The ideal Accounting Manager will have 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or CPG environment. CPA is a plus, as well. The current role is a hybrid model work from home and on-site in Anaheim. 

 

The Accounting Manager duties may include:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements and reports
  • Responsible for month end close, adjustments, and reclass
  • Maintaining balance sheet account reconciliation schedules and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements
  • Preparation / oversight of monthly account analysis of all balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review day to day activity, monthly results, and discuss financial policies and procedures
  • Actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of process improvements that create efficiencies and improve integrity of the company’s financial reporting system
  • Serves as a key point of contact, along with the CFO, in external and internal audits
  • Guides accounting staff by answering questions, coordinating activities, and mentoring staff
  • Supports the CFO with ad-hoc analysis, customer and vendor reporting, and special projects

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with a CPG company or related experience
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus, Advanced Excel skills required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of management experience
