Senior QA Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineeron a contract basis with deep technical expertise in automation, strong programming fundamentals, and hands-on experience in modern DevOps environments. The ideal candidate is capable of leading testing strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and influencing quality across the entire engineering organization. Experience with AI-driven testing or AI-enabled systems is a strong plus.
Location: Remote working eastern hours
This job expects to pay about $60 – $75 per hour plus benefits

What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain UI & API automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium.
- Write high-quality test code in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Develop integration, end-to-end, and contract/API testing (REST, GraphQL).
- Contribute to performance, reliability, and basic security testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Use observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) to debug and diagnose issues.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and SRE to define test strategies and quality standards.
- Mentor QA engineers and support process improvements.
What Gets You The Job:
- 5–8+ years’ experience in QA engineering.
- Senior-level automation expertise using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium. Must have a strong ability to handle both UI and API automation.
- Strong programming ability in at least one major language (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Must have CI/CD and DevOps integration experience including CI/CD pipelines, using Docker/containers, and supporting automated, reliable deployments across modern DevOps environments.
- Solid understanding of testing strategies, best practices, and quality metrics
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Nice to Have: Experience testing AI systems or using AI-driven automation tools
