PACS Migration Engineer – Visage

Our client, a large health system, is modernizing its imaging infrastructure, and they are looking for a skilled PACS Engineer to play a pivotal role in this transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to work as a team member on a large-scale PACS migration, ensuring seamless interoperability between imaging systems, databases, and clinical applications. If you’re passionate about optimizing workflows, troubleshooting complex systems, and driving innovation in medical imaging, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. Duration is long term, likely 2 years.

• Location: Remote, with up to 25% travel to the Midwest
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $70-$90/hr
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• Provide engineering support for PACS migration, including system configuration, integration, and maintenance.
• Ensure seamless data interoperability between PACS, Visage, Epic, and third-party applications.
• Manage DICOM routing, HL7 interfaces, and imaging data flow to support clinical operations.
• Support medical record number conversions, data cleansing, and metadata validation.
• Perform verification, repair, and optimization of imaging data throughout the transition process.

What Gets You the Job: 

• 5+ years of experience as a PACS Engineer, Imaging Informatics Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience working on a PACS migration or upgrade required
• Visage PACS experience is a big plus
• Expertise in PACS administration, DICOM, HL7, and imaging informatics.
• Experience with PACS system migration, system integrations, and database management.
• Strong understanding of Epic, Visage, and third-party imaging applications.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PACS connectivity, network protocols, and storage solutions.
