Project Portfolio Analyst I (Onsite)

We have an immediate need for a contract Project Portfolio Analyst I to join our client, a global hospitality organization. The Project Portfolio Analyst I is responsible for supporting the PMO Organization through oversight, tracking, reporting, driving results of the pillar intake process and pillar portfolios, operational portfolio process, enhancement portfolio, as well as PMO tools administration and reports in accordance with the PMO processes and guidelines.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Onsite)

This job expects to pay about $30 – 34 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist with project tracking, ensuring project records are up to date.
  • Provides project coordination/oversight, timeline development and tracking, issue tracking & resolution, communication, and reporting to various Technology Domains on key priority technology operational initiatives.
  • Work with resource managers to effectively align resources across operational projects based on resource capacity & forecast analysis.
  • Provides status reports that bring transparency to the Operational Portfolio and assists Technology Leadership with decision making.
  • Assist in maintaining the current and future state project portfolio, including updating allocations and budget tracking.
  • Creates and/or streamlines new and existing PMO reports and dashboards in Smartsheet and/or Tempus.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis requests from IT, Finance, Audit, or business around project portfolio, project budgets, and resource management.

What Gets You The Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; minimum 1 year related experience acting as an administrator, coordinator and/or portfolio analyst.
  • Knowledge of the function of the PMO and various portfolio and project management techniques and methodologies including waterfall, iterative, scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Knowledge working with project and portfolio management tools, such as Smartsheet, Tempus, etc.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, (including Project, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • History of driving results with ability to concurrently manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet project deadlines in a changing environment for self as well as the team.
  • Ability to develop competencies in automation and reports/dashboards creation with preferred experience in Smartsheet.
  • Ability to write policies and procedures for enterprise adoption.
