This key leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a talented team, work closely with the CFO, and play a pivotal part in shaping the financial future of the organization.

Location: Onsite in California (East Bay area)

This is a full-time role expected to pay a base salary around $275-325k plus generous benefits, bonus and relocation package

What You Will Do:

• Lead all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax, and treasury.
• Oversee financial close processes, audits, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Drive the development of technical accounting positions for complex and material issues.
• Collaborate with the CFO and FP&A team to prepare financial reports, board materials, and business analyses.
• Manage tax compliance and strategic planning while optimizing treasury activities.
• Mentor and grow the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Enhance financial systems and processes to support organizational growth and efficiency.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Big 4 public accounting experience (required)
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and treasury functions.
• Prior experience in retail or related industries (as it pertains to inventory management and cost accounting)
• Proven track record of leading large accounting teams and driving organizational change.
• Expertise in GAAP, technical accounting, and internal controls.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to delve into technical and operational details.
