Our client, a successful and growing neighborhood retail company, is seeking a forward-thinking accounting leader to join their team. Location: Onsite in central California
This is a full-time role expected to pay a base salary of about $150-160k plus generous benefits, bonus and relocation package.
What You Will Do:
- Lead month, quarter, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage inventory valuation, gross profit analysis, and supply chain cost reporting.
- Research and implement new accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) and prepare comprehensive technical memos.
- Oversee external audits, including accelerated timelines with a new audit firm.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance store performance.
- Manage acquisition accounting and integrate financials for newly acquired entities.
- Build and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering growth and efficiency.
What Gets You The Job:
- CPA certification and Big 4 experience are essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting and implementing new standards.
- Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams, including direct and indirect reports.
- Experience in inventory and gross profit oversight, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of driving results in fast-paced environments.
- Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving and financial acumen.
- 100% on-site availability at our newly remodeled Modesto headquarters.
