Our client, a leading provider of innovative payment software solutions, is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Engineering. This role will be critical in consolidating multiple platforms, driving technical innovation, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Location: Orange County, CA (onsite preferred, will consider remote candidates in Western US)
This is a full-time role expected to pay a base of about $200-$225 plus benefits and other compensation

What You Will Do:
- Lead the technical strategy for the company’s software engineering initiatives, including integration of their three distinct platforms into one unified system.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, focusing on architecture, roadmap creation, and execution.
- Manage and mentor a small engineering team, driving performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with product and business teams to deliver scalable, innovative solutions on time.
- Identify and explore forward-thinking technology like AI and other solutions.
- Foster a high-performance culture by holding the team accountable and driving results.
What Gets You The Job:
- Strong software engineering and technical leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of software technologies like Laravel, PHP MySQL, Angular, .Net and more
- Must have strong AWS experience
- Proven experience innovating software solutions in fast-paced agile environments
- Positive thinking individual who figures out how to solve problems and overcome challenges instead of explaining why certain things can’t be done.
- Experience with payment and/or Point-of-Sale systems strongly preferred
