Data Entry Clerk (Remote)
We have an immediate need for a contract Data Entry Clerk to join our client, a national chain of convenience stores and gas stations. The Data Entry Clerk will have a strong background in data entry, coupled with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. The Clerk will also be responsible for accurately entering and managing large volumes of data, ensuring that all information is correct, consistent, and accessible.
Location: Tempe, AZ (Remote)
This job expects to pay about $24 – 26 per hour plus benefits.
What You Will Do:
- Data Entry: Accurately input data into various systems, including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Smartsheet, while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Data Management: Organize and manage data to maintain accuracy and accessibility, track data trends, and identify potential discrepancies or issues.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members and other departments to clarify data requirements, report issues, and ensure seamless data management.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple data entry projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: Review data for errors, inconsistencies, and missing information, and take corrective actions to maintain high data quality standards.
What Gets You the Job:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic educational requirement.
- Associate Degree (Preferred): In fields like Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related area.
- Classes or training in data management, computer science, or administrative support are beneficial.
- Any past roles involving data entry, including internships or volunteer work, are highly valuable.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, where communication and data accuracy were essential.
- Experience in administrative roles, providing support and handling data-related tasks.
- At least 2 years of experience in data management or reporting is required.
- Certification from recognized institutions or online platforms validating your data entry skills.
- Certification in Excel or other Office tools is an advantage.
- Ability to catch errors and inconsistencies to ensure high data accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, and other relevant tools.
- Capable of managing and organizing large volumes of data efficiently.
