We have an immediate need for a Principal IT Risk Strategy Specialist to join our client, a leading national retailer in a pivotal role in guiding the IT Business Segment’s risk management planning and execution. This position is crucial for overseeing and governing technology risk management across the enterprise, fostering effective collaboration among various company groups.
Location: This is an ONSITE role in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area
This full-time job is expected to pay about $130-160k annually “plus benefits”
What You Will Do:
- Engage and collaborate with all IT functions to identify and evaluate technology risks.
- Design and implement technology risk management controls and contingency strategies.
- Lead in-depth discussions with IT and business experts to create comprehensive risk management plans.
- Translate technical vulnerabilities into business risk terms.
- Partner with the Risk Management segment to establish business contingency plans aligned with technology risks.
- Oversee and mitigate risks and issues within the technology enhancement portfolio.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to effectively define and manage IT risks.
What Gets You The Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- At least 8 years of experience in risk management, with a minimum of 5 years focused on technology risk management.
- A minimum of 5 years in a technology leadership role.
- Expertise in utilizing risk management methodologies and tools.
- Professional interaction skills with all management levels and subject matter experts.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation capabilities.
- Proficient understanding of compliance and security frameworks and standards, including CAS, COSO, IOS, RIMS, NIST Cybersecurity, ISO 31000, etc.
