SQL/Power BI Developer 100% Remote but preferred in Tennessee

 

Well branded industry leader in the healthcare space is seeking a SQL/Power BI Developer to join a dynamic team and help upgrade the reporting platforms for better data-driven decision-making impacting increased revenues and better patient outcomes.

 

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join a growing Data and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for upgrading the reporting environment, writing complex queries, modelling data and creating Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including executives and management from clinical, operational, and financial departments including stakeholders, so executive level communication skills are paramount.

 

What you will do:

  • Power BI Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that meet the needs of various stakeholders within the organization, including clinical teams, operations, finance, and management.
  • SQL: Write code in SQL
  • Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring that they load quickly and provide real-time or near-real-time insights.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Translate complex data from behavioral healthcare metrics (e.g., patient outcomes, treatment efficacy, financial performance) into clear, visually appealing, and actionable insights.
  • Data Transformation: Utilize Power Query, DAX, and other Power BI tools to clean, transform, and model data for reporting purposes.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, ensuring that the developed reports meet their objectives and deliver value.
  • Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing tools such as Kimble or Snowflake

What gets you the job:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Power BI report development and dashboard creation.
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and integrating Power BI with various data sources.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, preferably behavioral healthcare, is a plus.
  • Skills & Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Power BI.
  • Expertise in SQL.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures.
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and performing data extraction tasks.
  • Knowledge of stored procedures, complex queries, joining data, modeling data.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training & Documentation: Ability to create user documentation and provide mentorship to junior team members on how to utilize Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
  • Data Architecture experience.
  • Ability to create scripts.
  • Knowledge of behavioral healthcare data and industry-specific metrics.
