Business Systems Analyst – Tableau (Remote)
We have an immediate need for a Business Systems Analyst – Tableau to join a leading data services organization. The Business Systems Analyst – Tableau will be a key player in the definition and execution of the organization’s Tableau reporting strategy.
Location: Remote working Pacific hours
This Job Pays: $60 – 72 per hour
What You Will Do:
- Deliver innovative and impactful report solutions that exceed expectations by improving speed of insight and increasing operational productivity
- Evolve and embed technical design best practice in Tableau reporting and data preparation activities
- Use your expertise to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical capabilities – guiding process and systems decisions both big and small
- Own the development cycle of key projects either in a hands-on capacity, or by helping the team with design flair, problem solving, quality control and attention to detail
- Effective communication of status, options and updates to a broad range of Finance and Sales stakeholders
- Support and train Tableau users
- Identify areas of opportunities and lead initiatives in expanding our current capacities, skillset, and tech stack
What Gets You The Job:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business intelligence and/or data analytics roles
- Deep understanding of Tableau’s advanced features established through hands-on use of the application
- First class knowledge of data transformation, analytics, and visualization best practice and pitfalls
- Proven track record of delivering hands-on transformation and change
- Credible and authentic communicator, capable of leading others through ambiguity and change
- Ability to understand and action the perspective and requirements of different stakeholders
- First-class organization and attention to detail
- Adept in supporting, training, mentoring, collaborating with, and learning from people with diverse backgrounds and technical capabilities
- Experience using Tableau Prep, or other data preparation tools such as Alteryx
- Coding experience, especially in data-focused languages such as SQL, Python, SAS, R, or Java.
- Technical understanding of big data architecture and system integrations
- Working knowledge of finance or sales systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, Salesforce etc.
- Experience of developing/supporting finance reporting
