Sr. DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)
We have an immediate need for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join a leading dental business support organization. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks functioning primarily as mid to upper tier support, assisting in software application deployments, source control management, and script automation.
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid) (4 days onsite)
This Job Pays: $125,000 – 140,000 annually
What You Will Do:
- Lead Team by designing and building models for a world class team, leading with a continuous improvement mindset. Balancing among efficiency, streamlining functions, and ensuring long term sustainability.
- Create Infrastructure Requirement Documents for applications deployed in the enterprise.
- Responsible for all application deployments to multiple environments (development, testing, staging, and production) on a scheduled release calendar.
- Analyze hardware capacities of build infrastructure and provide recommendations to the Management team for improvements.
- Setup server and application configuration automation using Infrastructure as Code.
- Lead the DevOps discipline and roadmap as defined by the DevOps Manager and be responsible for managing all server/infrastructure related issues.
- Anticipate, identify, and recommend solutions for operational problems by monitoring system performance and studying operating targets.
- Design solutions with practical knowledge of both on premise and cloud-based solutions.
- Onboard and troubleshoot critical application related issues in coordination with the Systems and Network teams.
What Gets You The Job:
- 5 years+ of experience working in DevOps.
- Bachelor’s degree or IT-related certification from accredited college or technical school.
- Strong skills in communication, both written and verbal.
- Experience with source control systems using GIT, BitBucket, or AWS CodeDeploy.
- Experience with scripting automation using Python, Perl, PHP, SQL, C#, Terraform, Powershell, .Net, Bash, VBScript, or JSON.
- Experience with configuration management tools using Puppet, Ansible and VMWare CLI.
- Experience with software application delivery of NET NodeJS AngularJS and Web API applications
