Principal Infrastructure Solutions Architect (Hybrid)
We have an immediate need for a Principal Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join one of the nation’s largest independent automotive parts retailers. The Principal Infrastructure Solutions Architect will lead the organization’s engineering practice with a focus on optimizing the delivery of infrastructure platforms, automated pipelines and robust feedback systems.
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)
This Job Pays: $154,000 – 208,000 annually
What You Will Do:
- Work with Enterprise Architecture to develop requirements for a stable, responsive, highly available hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Lead the Engineering requirements practice. Design, implement, manage and maintain a stable, responsive, highly available hybrid cloud infrastructure for mission critical applications and high-transaction workloads.
- Align new applications with the CI/CD practice. Collaborate with creating complex designs.
- Generate and revise server, operating system, database, applications and network standards. Ensure delivered platforms meet functional and technical requirements.
- Identifies inefficiencies in deployment/build process and provides solutions.
- Translate requirements into technical designs and product roadmaps
- Consult with multiple stakeholders to expand the adoption of the CI/CD pipeline methodology. Collaboratively define and improve the Engineering CI/CD practice.
What Gets You The Job:
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience. Industry certifications preferred
- This position requires a minimum of eight years of hands-on infrastructure experience in enterprise infrastructure design, automation, and administration supporting over 1000 servers
- Expert knowledge of private and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, VMware)
- Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines with automated build tools including Atlassian, Jenkins, , Terraform, Chef, Microsoft SCCM/DSC, AWS CloudFormation
- Broad technical and practical skills with common infrastructure systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualization/VMware, server clustering, MS Active Directory, enterprise backup, storage, MS SQL Server, server hardware, network protocols, DNS/DHCP, general networking concepts
