Principal Network Engineer – VoiP (Hybrid)

We have an immediate need for a Principal Network Engineer – VoiP to join one of the nation’s largest independent automotive parts retailer. The Principal Network Engineer provides consultation on complex network set up, configuration and support of network infrastructure as well as develops network strategy and maintains all systems, applications, security and network configurations.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)

This Job Pays: $120,000 – 160,000 annually

What You Will Do:

• Provides leadership and strategy in evaluating and implementing new technologies that enhancesthe organization’s Voice Infrastructure environments
• Consults with multiple stakeholders to collaboratively define and improve IT Voice Engineering best practices.
• Principal Voice Engineer with tracking assigned project to ensure projects are within budget and timelines are adjusted as needed.
• Lead the design and development of monitoring, reporting, and analytics focused on ensuring resiliency and proactive alerting for Voice Monitoring.
• Leads the evaluation, recommendation and design of current and future voice technologies, including voice upgrades, deployments and expansions.
• Develops strategies and direction for voice systems solutions using current and emerging technologies
• Participates and technically leads troubleshooting and project related conference calls. Able to convey technical information in a manner suitable to the audience.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required
• Professional certifications are a plus.
• This position requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience leading highly technical teams in developing voice strategies, Voice project designs, and producing documentation for operation transition.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve voice, application and performance issues
• SDN and SD-WAN Network experience
• Cisco Voice/Microsoft Teams Voice (VoIP, Unified communications, Cisco call manager, Cisco voip, Unity, Cisco voice, Phone system, Ucce, Troubleshooting, Contact center)
• Routing and Switching experience with BGP, EIGR, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS VoIP, SIP, VPLS, QoS, Firewalls, SDN, SDA, and Cisco DNA
