DevOps Engineer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to join a premier management consulting firm. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and operating IT systems and processes supporting SaaS applications and platforms automation of provisioning, quality controls, security auditing, and maintenance. You will also perform continuous measurement and improvement of efficiency of operational activities and resources. Lastly, you will learn new tech skills (cloud, orchestration, network, operating system) with a strong focus on open source products and contribute to the continued skill-building of the tribe.

Location: Remote

This Job Pays: $70 – 80 per hour

What Gets You The Job: 

• Good understanding in cloud-native models and reliability engineering advisory. Experience in public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and containerization like Kubernetes, Docker, helm.
• Very strong working knowledge and experience in programming languages like Python.
• Good understanding of IaC languages like Terraform, Ansible.
• Strong experience in any of the following is a plus CI/CD tooling, CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub etc
• Exposure to and working knowledge of full-stack engineer with DR/BCP experience.
• Experience in web front-end and database products: Nginx, Postgres, Mongo, Redis.
• Exposure to monitoring and data analytics tools: Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics and others.
• Understanding of networking experience such as load balancing, network security, standard network protocols (HTTP/s, DNS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of operating system experiences such as Linux, Windows
• Experience in project coordination and coaching teams in key areas of SRE related competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
