Software Developer – VB.NET (Hybrid)

We have an immediate need for a Software Developer – VB.NET to join a leading international tax specialty services provider. The Software Developer will be responsible for contributing to development projects and maintenance, while also practicing superb collaboration and communication skills.

Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid)

This Job Pays: $130,000 – 140,000 annually

What You Will Do:

• Lead and implement projects for our Elite 3E Accounting and Finance software
• Work directly with our Accounting and Finance teams on various projects
• Work on various phases of projects from start to finish including planning, scoping, designing, coding, testing and deployment
• Analyze, triage and fix software bugs
• Deploy packages and SQL to Production and other environments
• Improve existing software applications
• Work on enhancements and maintenance for existing applications based on needs.
• Develop and implement new requests for ERP and financial management system

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 4+ years’ combined experience in software development
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in VB.NET, SQL, stored procedures, Web Services and XML
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in following web technologies: CSS, JavaScript, REST, Web API and one of the JavaScript frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in writing and consuming APIs
• Demonstrated experience in functional and unit testing
• Exposure to cloud development in Azure or AWS
• Experience in Elite 3E Financial Management software strongly preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Knowledge of modern software architecture principles
• Demonstrated experience in designing software that connect multiple applications
• Experience with SQL Server, ETL development using SSIS (Microsoft BizTalk or equivalent technologies)
