HR Generalist

Direct Hire

Salary: $60-70k/yr base plus bonus

Experience leading change management with new processes and systems

Experience supporting a diverse workforce including exempt and non-exempt roles

3 years of experience working in Employee Relations role

Plus: work experience in a high-growth organization

What You’ll Do:

Assist in the implementation, and management of HR processes, including: benefits administration & renewal; on-boarding programs; and talent development/performance management across the organization

Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Set and oversee vacation and sick time accruals, usage, and roll-overs

Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

Work closely with the COO to implement any required HR or corporate activities, e.g. trainings, events, communications, etc

Assist with administering HR policies and procedures and legal compliance, per the Operations Team

Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and certifications.

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.

Desired: HR Certification (PHR and/or SHRM CP)
