IT Business Analyst

We have an immediate need for an IT Business Analyst to join our end-client, a business consulting firm, located in Houston, TX for a full-time, permanent position. This position will be responsible for supporting IT initiative and projects with requirements gathering, building test cases, ad-hoc reporting, training and support to users.

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

This Job Pays: $90,000-115,000

What You Will Do:

• Identifying and then prioritizing technical and functional requirements
• Document Requirements and Workflows
• Collecting and analyzing data for potential business efficiencies
• Identifying specific business opportunities and aid in defining solutions
• Influence stakeholders to support initiatives that will enforce business growth and revenue
• Co leading projects and coordinating with other teams to produce better business outcomes
• Testing business processes and recommending improvements
• Assist in building custom reports and dashboards.
• Generate AdHoc Reports as requested
• Develop training materials and provide training and support end users.
• Maintain databases for integrity and accuracy
• Support current and new initiatives related to IT Projects
• Assist in managing technical resources and migration of new solutions
• Coordinate activities between IT and business units

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or other related field
• 2-3 year’s experience in data analytics and reporting.
• Experience in implementation, training and documentation preferred.
• Experience with SQL to retrieve data
• Experience with Power BI or another dashboard visualization tool
